I’m arriving into Bangkok at 1.10am on 24 December so once I’ve collected by bag, gone through customs and immigrations then met my driver, I expect it will be 2am if not later and then near 3am by the time I arrive at my hotel and get into bed.

After a few hours sleep and a yummy vegetarian breakfast (I chose my hotel well) I will want to see as much of Bangkok as I can without the stress of figuring out how to hire a tuk tuk or taxi and let the driver know where I want to go. I have taken Hop On, Hop Off bus tours in a number of cities around the world so wondered if such a thing existed in Bangkok. Indeed it does but it’s not a bus, it’s a fleet of tuk tuks. So for about $15 I will be collected from my hotel (I ‘call’ a tuk tuk on a phone app) and taken to one of the many sites on the Tuk Tuk Hop route.
